Baker’s notes & crumb story

Shimmering with depth and vitality

A meticulously handcrafted and handsome African-inspired design in 100% jute

The cone is connected to the flat plate that forms a lid over the saucer

Form 17 Alabama Chanin Line I chose a cone shapeFor the plants in this form, I began with seed, using a variety called Mother of Thousands. The name expresses the concept, which is to unify many small plants within one giant saucer, which embraces them like a hug. Each individual plant can be cared for separately, even as they live together. The planter heights are consistent so that in profile, they almost disappear within their shelter. Tung Chiang
