Walter Scott Sojeau Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024 Region:Willamette Valley it will welcome extended bottle

Baker’s notes & crumb story

Description

it will welcome extended bottle age rather than demand it

The 2017 edition (aged long enough in bottle to qualify as a Gran Reserva) has strikingly bright red berry fruit with a citrusy note over a boquet of sage

Federico Faraone’s family has been growing Montepulciano and Sangiovese since the 1930s

intended to be bright and refreshing with a nose of strawberry and cranberry

plus just a hint of smoked meat

Walter Scott Sojeau Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024 Region:Willamette Valley it will welcome extended bottleWalter Scott owns no vineyards, but Sujeau is as close as they get to an 'estate'. Looking straight east at the Van Duzer Corridor, grapes here handle plenty of weather through the growing season, and the resulting wine is fully formed. Nicely structured, lengthy tannins, with forest floor, strawberry and floral accents, this is the most 'complete' wine of the set.
