A member of the Marantaceae or Prayer Plant family, therefore has a habit of opening and closing its leaves as day transitions to night. This plant prefers medium, indirect light and will scorch in direct sunlight. Keep the soil evenly moist, never allowing it to completely dry out. Fertilize once per month during the growing season.
